Alex Harris
Helping organisations and teams to find pathways to greater impact, I work with people to develop strategies, policies and partnerships that improve health worldwide.
I am a global health professional with over 20 years’ experience leading, advising and influencing a wide range of healthcare stakeholders in the governmental, not for profit, private and philanthropic sectors.
In our changing world, where health needs are rapidly evolving, I aim to help teams understand what is required for them to make their strongest contribution to global health challenges.
I am an outcomes-focused creative thinker, and a natural communicator with a deep understanding of global health.
Outside of work I enjoy cycling and the freedom it gives me to explore the natural environment. Some of my clearest thinking happens when I’m in nature!
I formerly led the Global Policy, Advocacy and Strategic Partnership functions, and the European office at Wellcome, one of the world’s largest philanthropies. Prior to this I ran an international NGO focused on providing access to medicine in conflict zones and fragile states, and spent a number of years as a consultant lobbyist working on health issues in the UK, EU and Middle East.
